Who owns Trent Barton buses? ›

Trentbarton operates both local and regional bus services in Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire, England. It is a subsidiary of the Wellglade Group.

trentbarton and sister company Kinchbus today operate over 300 vehicles and employ more than 1,000 people who are based primarily at five key sites, with some additional satellite sites spread out across the East Midlands.

Young people get a discount when paying by cash, but other ticket types may be a better option for you if you're travelling more regularly. You can still use cash on any of our buses, simply tell your friendly driver where you're travelling to and from and they will do the rest.

In 1989 we bought the business of Barton Transport Ltd which had begun back in 1908 and was based at Chilwell. In 2005 we decided that both Trent and Barton businesses should use the trentbarton name, thus forming the single company as you know it today.

Can I bring my pets on the bus? We're happy for anyone to use our buses, even our range of four-legged friends. We just need them to behave and be conscious of other customers around them. We charge a dog fare of 80p for any ride on all our buses.
